Corey Smith
My love of vans and the lifestyle they enable originated from my desire to experience the amazing diversity of North America while pursuing my passion for the outdoors. In 2012 my then partner and I bought a well worn 1987 VW Vanagon and set out for what we thought would be a 6 month trip. With ‘vanlife’ in its infancy and with no blueprint, we crisscrossed the country meeting amazing people and seeing inspiring places. What first appeared as a vacation, quickly turned into a lifestyle providing new experiences and life lessons that would shape much of who I am. Over a decade later I’m still living and learning from the driver's seat of my old VW.
Knowledge
As my life has progressed so has my desire to help empower others who are also seeking to explore and learn. It is from this mindset where Viewpoint Campervans was born. Pulling from the knowledge gained on the road and an understanding of the robust systems you need for van travel, I have set out to create beautiful campervans. While aesthetics and safety are paramount, my underlying goal is to create vehicles that help cultivate lasting memories and priceless experiences.
Becoming Reality
I have 10-years as a vanlife veteran and am an experienced carpenter with a serious attention to detail. During my time living on the road full time, I've developed an eye for what works - and what doesn’t - in a camper van meant to be capable and comfortable. I have a knack for turning vision into reality, efficiently executing the vision for each van and creating a solid, reliable, and quality product.
